This post will highlight the first service, Air duct and HVAC cleaning.  Cleaning these elements and maintaining them will ultimately 8improve the quality of the air in your home.  We bring our experience and training and the duct cleaning process meets industry standards as defined by the National Air Duct Cleaner’s Association. Our technicians are knowledgeable in the use of duct cleaning tools and are held to all applicable safety standards in helping to restore and maintain a cleaner environment in your home.

Your technician will access your system of the duct interiors through existing openings if possible.  This consists of return grills, duct end caps and service openings.  Your technician will begin by breaking contaminants loose from your system via hand or vacuum to agitate dirt and dust.  Technicians use a variety of equipment and often may use chemicals to help sanitize, disinfect and deodorize your air ducts.  It is important to deal with an experienced and reputable company such as SERVPRO to be sure any chemicals used are EPA safe.

As a homeowner you should consider having a complete HVAC air duct cleaning if there is any substantial mold growth visible inside the ducts, if there are any rodents or insects in the system, or if the ducts are clogged with dust a debris that is getting released into your home through the registers.  According to the EPA, some research suggests that a cleaning may improve the efficiency of your HVAC system, which in turn may lead to longer cost savings in repairs down the road.
